ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Here Be Dragons albums are like London busses. You wait for ages for one and then two come along at once. Alongside the new album of (often brooding) original material "The Year Of The Dragon" the band has released this album of fun songs.

Four songs on this album are entertaining original compositions. Two of the original songs are rugby related while the other two feature bawdy humour that you may hear in a rugby club sing song. Though they are a lot milder than some you would hear in rugby clubs.

The rest of the album is made up of Here Be Dragons interpretations of Welsh Rugby Sing-Along Classics. No one quite sings "Sosban Fach" like Here Be Dragons a fact confirmed by the Welsh Assembly Government using the Dragons version on a promotional video. You'd have to look far and wide to find anyone else approaching these songs with as much love, energy, humour and hwyl.

All songs are new recordings, although three songs have been recorded before (For Alcohol & Rain) these are improved versions. The addition of Welsh singer songwriter Brychan Llyr Jones on these three tracks is very welcome, Brychan takes lead on "Calon Lan", duets with Mike on "Skull Attack" and adds backing vocals to "Sosban Fach"
