Album Notes
Here Be Dragons, is one of the foremost folk rock bands emanating from Wales. This is their third CD and a huge leap forward from the previous two ‘Alcohol & Rain’ and ‘Celtic Bonding’.

The songs on the new have two main themes, the start of a new chapter and home.

“Back To Barry Town” and “One More Night In Novellara” tackle the universal theme of a returning traveller. “One Last Look” tells the story of a villager whose hometown is about to be flooded by the construction of a dam or reservoir, a Welsh theme but also one familiar to Chinese, Americans and countless others around the world.

“Song For The Dying” is a very moving ballad written from personal experience of watching a loved one suffer a long illness, a subject familiar to most of us but rarely written or even talked about. ‘Bright New Tomorrow’ is a phrase from the anthemic “Star Behind The Cloud” promising a better future.

The Dragons know where they’re from, as for the new chapter, it looks like they’ll have a Bright New Tomorrow...
