Album Notes
"The Hermitt, a.k.a. Rodrigo Lopresti, has finally emerged from his closet/recording studio with his first solo album..."And The Story Of The Insects."

"Sacrificing his skin pigment for art, The Hermitt locked himself Inside the windowless closet for nearly two years to write, compose, arrange, record and master the L.P. that he would also produce for Devious Semantics.

"An Indie Record in the truest sense of the word, Lopresti has single-handedly built, layer-by-layer an infectuous entity that grows along, breathing from one track into the next. It's crunching acoustic hangs from punk hooks shortly before being ripped open and casually discarded into a melodic surf. Echoing the bass, the album has the unnerving effect of inducing a bitter-sweet nostalgia.

..."And The Story Of The Insects" would throw a magnifing glass over the world of The Hermitt and provide a distinct record of his
isolation and seperation from previous experiments ,The Alchis and Sessions in Pagoda." -G.Madder
