- Note from the composer:
Thank you for buying this album. It has taken five years to complete and it is immensely satisfying to listen to my efforts and I hope you will use this album not only just to enjoy, but to enhance your spirit and to revel in the power of your imagination. In this day and age it's easy to forget the we have the power to create our own world inside us. This is not just for pleasure and entertainment, but to have a sacred place to re-energize the spirit and to remember what wonderful beings we can be. I wish you, the listener, an amazing experience with this album for many years to come. - Hetoreyn

Track List (A Serving suggestion!)

Track 1: Nightfall
We open with the main theme played in its most simplest form in a relaxing and beautiful introduction to the album. The concept is this - You have awoken to find yourself on a beach at night time. There is a dull glow on the horizon of the sun, a thin band of orange that gives a comforting light to your surroundings. The sky itself is a deep blue and sprinkled with stars. As you look around you feel warm, protected and calm .. you have arrived at your own island paradise. A place where your spirit is rested, and the cares of the physical world are dissolved and you are free to think, feel and simply be.

Track 2: Winds of Time
Next as you leave the beach where you arrived you wonder through a valley with tall mountains and cliffs that stretch further inland. You are not limited to simply walking, if you want you can fly up high and experience your new found world as a bird, or as pure energy. Enjoy the mountains, the trees, the rivers of pure water, and the nature that grows here. Every stone you examine, every tree you see makes your island paradise more coherent and real.

Track 3: Peace of the Storm
Passing the valleys you find yourself back at the beach but at a different point. Here you stop and listen to the waves lapping against the shore. It is raining ever so lightly. A warm, delicate rain that feels wonderful on your face and skin. A storm builds on the horizon, but it is far away and cannot harm you. Instead you can admire the power of nature and feel the energy in the air. You wonder from the beach into the trees where a house made of straw is waiting for you. You sit in a comfy chair on the porch and enjoy watching the amazing display of light and sound from the storm.

Track 4: The River (Die Nahe)
After resting at the house you journey onwards through your island. How you move is up to you. In this place you can simply appear anywhere at will, or walk, or fly, or simply drift. At this part you find yourself at the river. Imagine a leaf falling from a nearby tree and landing in the water of the river. The river then takes the leaf on a journey and you alone with it.

(This piece was inspired by the river 'Nahe' in southwest Germany, in the Rheinland-Pfalz region)

Track 5: The Journey
In this piece you have stopped following the leaf that floated along the river and begin walking through a beautiful forest. As you walk you discover a horse, or similar beast that beckons you to climb onto its back as it takes you away. Slowly at first but then gathering speed until we finally end up in a full on gallop in a thrilling ride that makes your heart saw with exhilaration. There is no limit to the speed at which you can travel. This is the end of this visit to your island, but you can come again, anytime you close your eyes and wish to see it. This is YOUR place, fill it with energy, spirit and wonder. The music is here to allow you to enter more easily.

Part 2

Track 6: Symphony of Rain
Another trip to your fantasy island. We encounter the forest again. Serene and wonderful. A light rain storm is all around you and the air smells so fresh. Let the energy of the forest refresh your being and enjoy strolling and adventuring through and through.

Track 7: Pixie
This piece is a story of a cat. Sleeping soundly and thinking cat thoughts she awakens slowly and watches you. You can pet the cat and she will enjoy it. After a while she stretches and begins wondering around you and your environment. Curious and playful and ever coy. But then the cat see's something. What is it? The cat wants to find out. Something small, like a beetle, moving around near you. The cat moves to look at it but the bug makes a sudden buzzing move that makes the cat leap back. The bug settles down .. but now the cat is intrigued. Now watch as the cat tries in vain to jump on the bug and try to catch it. After a time the cat gives up and decides instead to groom.

(Pixie is a real cat, a calico 5 coloured cat that enjoys trying to get into my chair in the studio whenever I'm not in it! This piece is dedicated to her.)

Track 8: Sound of Life
This track was composed with data from human DNA (CO1 gene). Although it is an interpretation, the melodies of all the instruments are arrived from carefully and scientifically calculated notation. It is an astonishing piece when you consider that you are, in a way, listening to the very sound of life. Eerie, discordant, and yet bold and beautiful. Summing up humanity very well I feel. Enjoy this psychedelic trip into the unknown of ourselves.

Track 9: Ruins of Forever
Your fantasy island is not just from today. It has its own history, its own ancient places of mystery. Take a wonder through the ruins of forever .. a place of ancient memory, power and spirit.

Track 10: Dreams
The power of your island, of the things that dwell there all come from you, the listener. It is by your imagination that this place can exist. And every time you visit, either awake or asleep you add vitality to it. Make it real, and keep it energized. In return you can visit this place of serenity any time and enjoy a higher level of spiritual awareness. Use this track as an aid to meditation. Find yourself back on the beach, or the forest, or the valleys we have discovered and more very quickly with this beautiful and energetic piece.

Winds of Time
From the very outset, the listener is gently eased into the ethereal world created by the composer. The adventure through each of the movements depicts various musical landscapes - rich in texture, variety and thoroughly enchanting. It is beautifully created providing a tapestry of aural delight. The incorporation of nature sounds within the work serves to highlight the contrast between the grounded physicality of the human existence and the mystical world created by the composer.

The mood throughout is contemplative, thought provoking and in some ways, soul searching - a yearning for a time or place, whilst also acknowledging the transient nature of time, describing in all its wonder and awe, the beauty of the composers created world.

Each of the ten movements is capable of standing on its own merits. In particular, the seventh movement, "Pixie", has a unique character, charm and playfulness that jumps out and toys with the emotions previously built upon. Even "Pixie" however does not prepare the listener for the seriousness and sheer terror and intrigue the "Sounds of Life" creates. It is as unsettling as it is beautiful, and presents a serrated edge that could cut you in two. This contrasts to great effect with the earlier movements and leads into the next movement whereby the soothing and relaxing journey continues.

Moving through a gamut of emotions, the music guides the listener, always safe within this mystical landscape, through the initial and magical "Nightfall” and “Winds of Time" via the earthly "The River", the playful “Pixie” through to the eerie "Sound of Life" and then resolving finally into "Dreams" via the "Ruins of Forever". Sounds bizarre I know, but it works and works beautifully. An engaging and inspiring Symphony that showcases the composer’s imagination and mastery of his craft to great effect. An absolute joy to experience!
