ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A charity affair to fund research of Von Willibrand's Disease, a rare bleeding disorder which project producer Dan Pavelich's daughter has.
All proceeds to benefit The Blood Center of Milwaukee.

"Hummable goodies abound, particularlyJohn McMullan's sweetly demanding '(gimme a) Kiss For Christmas,' The Jellybricks' Matthew Sweet-like 'We'll Be Together.' Andrea Perry's hilarious, quirky 'Fat Aunt Bette' (with it's immortal line "Uncle Mack with his plumber's crack is bending over his Santa's sack putting presents in") Jeremy Morris's gentle 'Christmas Spirit' and The Lolas' Beatlesque take on'The Little Drummer Boy.'

The two finest moments, though, are The Bradburys' power pop stunner 'I Love It When It Snows!' and Lisa Mychols' glistening, joyous 'Listen To The Bells Ring,' which oughta be a holiday classic. Grade: A-

Hi Fi Heaven for Christmas
This collection is great and there is enough variety to keep everyone happy. "Fat nne Bette" by andrea Perry is a standout, as is the Lolas "Little Drummer Boy" which breathes life into a tired old song. Proceeds from this disc benefit the daughter of the producer who has a rare bleeding disorder. Her song is precious on the disc. the disc is funny, touching and danceable, the way Christmas is supposed to be. God Bless Mari, here's praying for a cure.

This CD rocks. I play it all year 'round. Lotsa hook-filled, upbeat holiday tunes. Great to play at partys. It's for charity to help out kids with bleeding disorders, so it's a good cause too.

Nice collection of powerpoppers
I like this CD cover. Reminds me of an old jazz record from the 1960's. Some bands are retro like The spongetones & The Bradburys, but all songs rawk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
