ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Scott Hiltzik's first solo piano album features his arrangements of the timeless melodies of Turlough O'Carolan. It has been called "nothing short of incredible" by the Brentwood News. The Midwest Book Review described it as "memorable, hauntingly beautiful and superbly executed...". Yoga Journal says this album has "the graceful feel of chamber music performed with a touch of sadness or a wistful smile" and that it "evokes the quiet comfort of lullabies with occasional playfulness". Concert pianist and radio personality Mona Golabek describes Celtic Nocturnes as "fabulous.... truly, truly beautiful" and Celtic Nocturnes was featured on her popular syndicated radio show, The Romantic Hours. Recorded on a magnificent Grotrian-Steinweg piano, this shimmering recording presents Turlough O'Carolan's achingly beautiful melodies in a new light.
