ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Aziza & the Cure mixes influences from Classical, Folk, Jazz, and Latin music traditions to create a transcendant blend of Orchestral Pop. Led by a couple bent on intelligent optimism, their music evokes an earthly paradise with cascading strings, angelic voices, and uplifting themes.

Leaders Joelle Britt and Bradley Rouen have conducted their mini-orchestra at such venues as Rockwood Music Hall, Equity Point Hotel in Times Square, and Williamsburg's Cameo Gallery.

Bradley, a graduate of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and New York University, was born and raised in New Orleans and has performed at the Blue Note, Snug Harbor, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

Joelle, a graduate of New York University, Manhattan School of Music, and Juilliard was born and raised in New York City and has performed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Apollo Theater, and Carnegie Hall. During their year long residency at Casa Mezcal, the couple mesmerized audiences by distilling all the grandeur of an orchestra into a duo setting.

In each endeavor, Aziza & the Cure intends to color its performance with all the shades of splendor and to create a space of rhapsody for the audience.
