Album Notes
This unique double CD is two seperate 6-song EPs, one from Hidari Mae and one from Speed Not Steel. Working as a community of musicians has always been important to the members of these two bands, so releasing a record cooperatively seemed almost inevitable. Josh Myers from Speed Not Steel has always been directly involved in the music of Hidari Mae, his brother Andy's band. Josh is currently playing keyboards for The Fire Theft. Andy Myers and Eric Fisher from Hidari Mae play in various other musical projects, including Damien Jurado and Gathered in Song, Rosie Thomas and Suffering and the Hideous Thieves. Both of the CDs in this release are full of guest appearances from a variety of friends playing a variety of instruments. After all, what is playing music really except an excuse to hang out and have fun.
