Album Notes
Here is the 2nd installment of the Hogjaw catalog, “Ironwood.” Two years after the first release (“Devil in the Details”) the band is still on course. Singing songs that define the artists and keeping true to what they stand for. This sophomore record shows more growth from the quartet, which is what you would expect a group to do…

Give it a spin and we hope you dig it as much as we all do in the HG camp…Cheers to everyone and look forward to hearing back some feedback!!! Lastly, we will say this…if you dig “Ironwood,” please tell your friends (including; radio stations, magazine reviewers, etc) to check it out like you have… it would be greatly appreciated. To the grass roots movement of independent music!

What is Ironwood? Well it’s probably the strongest tree in the state of Arizona where the band is from… They look at this also as the fiber of strength of the years they’ve known each other, the strong bond, it intertwines them musically.

As good as southern rock gets
These guys are the real deal. Not copy cat sound alikes. Good top quality southern rock made in there own way. Great great stuff.

Second installment of awesome
Just got my copy, and I have to say, this disc is just as good if not better than the first one. When is Hogjaw gonna tour around OKC? Can't wait to see these guys live!

Ironwood - An album as strong as its namesake
My copy just arrived and I've been waiting for a while for this one. I've heard a few of the songs on this album live in shows here in Vegas as well as on the band's Myspace page, but not others. The good news is that the entire album rocks just like Devil in the Details did. Some albums (OK, most albums) in my opinion have a few good songs while the others feel like filler. Hogjaw doesn't do this - the whole album is worth listening to.
Thanks for another rockin' album guys!!!

I should have bought more than one copy
This album should be requred listening in schools, its that good! Even my least favorite songs on the album are better than 99% of the stuff other bands put out. Great musicians and it really shows on this album, even the backing vocals are awesome. I tell everyone to buy it, its their own fault if they don't listen.

HOGJAW - Ironwood
Three Fifty Seven, Rollin Thunder and Ain't Ever Gonna Win are just flat out great songs. I really like the lyrics to County Line. Blacktop has become my favorite song of all time. The story is great, the lyrics are quotable. Blacktop is just an incredible song.

The whole album is great. The songs are good and the band is jammin.

Great buy

Hogjaw - Ironwood (CD - 2010) The powerful new album ! ( English Translate )
The Ironwood is an extraordinary plant that lives in the Arizona desert in extreme climatic and environmental conditions, a towering plant capable of living up to 1500 years, thus a symbol of unmatched tenacity and power, that we find in Hogjaw's brand new CD, titled Ironwood, from Phoenix (Ariz) and of which I spoke at their debut in 2008.
With their debut album, Devil in the Details they already made it clear what they were made of, but with this new CD they stormed by force in the Olympus of the renovated and seething Southern Rock movement....
