Album Notes
These 10 songs are the end result of an idea I had for some time: to make an R&B roots recording. I’ve always been a fan of this style of music, when I called on my old friend Bill Buckingham, a brilliant musician/producer/engineer, and he was keen on the project, I knew I would be in good hands.

I can’t tell you how grateful I am for the opportunity to work with Bill. Not only did he play bass and drums on the record, he also engineered and co-prodoced the recording with me.

For my part, I sang all the songs, played all the guitar parts, and sang back-up vocals with “Little Krissy Courage”.

We then recruited Darryll Havers to play the organ, and two world-class horn players: Steve Hilliam on sax and Terry Townson on trumpet and trombone.

I’m very proud and happy of how this record turned out. I’d like to thank everyone who was involved.

This recording is dedicated in loving memory of my Dad, Alan Holden. I hope you enjoy it.
