Album Notes
Hollow Density are at it again with their rocking 4th album appropriately entitled “4 Layers of Rock”. As with all their albums to date this band has worked hard to avoid categorization. They don’t stay in the same place for long. Just when you think it’s all heavy rock they will slip in a mythical gem like “Crossing With Charon” or a jazzy shuffle like “More Than I Can Chew”. Again Hollow Density focuses on their strengths, catchy guitar riffs and virtuosity coupled with heady lyrics and fun vocals.

This CD covers a lot of ground such as the battle of good and evil in “The Visitation”, death with “Crossing With Charon”, “Catacombs”, and “Daily Dose of Death”, fate in the memorable “Princess of the Shining Flame”, stress in “Too Much Stress”, classic fantasy in “Frozen Tide” and a dire environmental warning in “Crunch Time”. Hollow Density are proof you can rock and think at the same time. This is such an infectious CD the listener can’t help but do lots of both.
