Forgiveness Road

by Holly Light

Has her very own delicious mixture of spicy pop/rock. Her voice pleads and growls, easily sliding between blackened blues, raw ballads and grizzly pop all laced with the guitar chops of a seasoned pro.

Album Notes
As a Warrior Girl Music label artist and with her new album "Forgiveness Road" produced by gilli moon, Holly's seductive vocals and passionate songwriting make her a definite force in her genre... Music, lyrics and stories we should all step into. Holly can capture a room in the palm of her hand, just with her voice and her guitar. She has her very own delicious mixture of spicy pop. Her voice pleads and growls, easily sliding between blackened blues, raw ballads and grizzly pop all laced with the guitar chops of a seasoned pro.

Hearing her songs, you feel that you’ve known her your whole life. Her infectious smile matches her blue eyes, tantalizing, ready to tell us thousands of secrets… and she does, with stories of her life, love and the way she sees the world. This woman ain’t no bubblegum pop star. Holly Light has more lyrical depth than the Mississippi, has great rhythm just like any Creole musician, has a voice that kicks you in the pants like any Motown soul torch singer and she was born to entertain.

Holly releases her sophomore release that truly captures who she is and what she has to say. “Forgiveness Road” is produced and arranged by poly-media artist/producer, Gilli Moon (www.gillimoon.com), also a writer on some tracks, and this album is co-produced by Holly Light and Matt Thorne (also mixed and engineered The Eels, TRAPT, Plastilina Mosh).

Already having songs from it nominated for an Independent Music Award (Los Angeles), “Forgiveness Road” truly captures Holly Light's seductive vocals and passionate songwriting, with songs for the happy ("True"), the weary ("Amelia"), the smart political satire (Red, White and Blues), the lost love (Over), the romantic (My Baby), and most of all those who believe that love will always live on ("Sentimental, I Presume"). Holly Light certainly delivers. Electric or acoustic, Holly is at home with a guitar in hand and an audience to woo. She cooks up a recipe of deliciousness all her own that always leaves you wanting more.

Holly's original music is superior to many songwriters past and present, a wise, introspective yet delightfully multi talented artist. The wealth of her artistry, life’s travels and experiences are captured in “Forgiveness Road”, and this album truly makes Holly a definite force in her genre... she’s raw, she’s soothing, she’s funky and she rocks. Holly Light delivers it all with music, lyrics and stories we should all step into.

“Forgiveness Road” is an 11 track album available through Warrior Girl Music (www.warriorgirlmusic.com), aligning Holly with the one of the few, truly independent & most creative production houses in business today.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This CD is awesome and so original!!!

Fantastic - better than the first, can't stop playing it!
I love this new CD, has a lot of great tunes and I can listen to them all, all day. Title track shows off her terrific voice. Love Ya is one of my favs, oh how we have all been in that situation, love ya and hate ya at the same time! Red, White & Blues makes a great statement on our times. Over, well been there too a few times. Every song on this effort is worth listening too, and the more you feel like you know a song, the more you discover something new with each time you hear it. Fantastic all the way around.
