ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Ives' electronic and industrial music roots with a classical music training foundation cacophonous epic explores deep sonic soundscapes with synth beats and bass lines reminiscent of the Orb and Kraftwerk. Ives pieces together early midi and synth technology with 4 track cassette timecode to explore as far as the imagination and technology could allow in it's day. Using found sounds from the Virginia farm where he composed these works you can hear a truly unique and creative sonic mixture developing his cutting edge production techniques that later became the industry norm. This album originally appeared as Perceptual Outer Dimension on the label Fifth Column Records out of Washington DC. This started Ives' professional music career and got him discovered by an audience that would support him along his developing fruitful career. Listen to where it all started in the lab with Ives as a young experimental composer isolated from the urban masses and the musical trends of the time.
