ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Drop of Water?…Drop of gold!

Drop of Water is the fifth of a line of progressively better cd’s released by Gina Holsopple, a folk style singer/song writer in the New York area. With a simple yet strong and even more impressive sound, the acoustic guitars, give a nice backdrop to an even stronger vocal track that doesn’t just sing, it speaks. The cd opens with the title track Drop of Water. A great opening to a consistently eye opening experience, from the first line I was hooked and couldn’t stop listening. Holsopple’s lyrics are a mix of fun, moving, and attractive lines that make you tap your feet and contemplate the state of your life at the same time. By the time I got to the ninth track, Marry the Moon, I thought, “Marry the moon?…Marry me!” It is a pleasure worth it’s weight in gold. I not only look forward to listening to this again and again, I look forward to listening to what I hope is a long line of future releases. I recommend this artist to anyone.
