ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Blessingsongs for our Global and Local Community ~ The Holy Oly Girls are an evolutionary genre of music offering creative explorations of traditional resonant instruments. With lyrical melodies, classical interpretations, chant-rap, spoken word, and invitational group singing, they offer songs which embody the essence of joyful aliveness and the sacred movement of life. Offering music for Live Collaborations, Ceremony, Workshops, Group Exploration & Deep Listening with Harp, Singing Bowls, Harmonium, Flute & resonant Vocals. Also offering "Blessingsongs" as inspiring YouTube videos to bless our world with Love and to sing us home to Unity.

Holy Oly Girls Trio
The trio is formed around the inspirational harp and song writing of Diane Sonntag, and Jessica Rose who is a multi-instrumentalist on harmonium and spirit-flute. Kristen Rubis plays sound healing bowls and “crystal percussion”. All three of members offer a pure resonant sound channeled through their harmonies and voices. May these Blessingsongs serve all Beings.

Diane Sonntag has met her evolutionary edge in stringed instruments, having played guitar, bass, banjo and mandolin for years, she is now “harping” on a 26 string folk-harp. She also plays harmonica in and out of the holder while playing the Harp! As one of the songstresses of the group, she can craft words and melodies for specific service and educational gatherings, celebrations, and devotional circles. Diane holds a deep love of the wild places and composes “love songs” to our ecosys- tems and their inhabitants which offer connectivity, awareness and inspiration and hope.

Kristen Rubis has been touring since 2011 and recently returned from a four state Sound Healing Tour. Her delivery of the resonating beauty of the crystal singing bowls, weaves a matrix that creates a vibratory base which informs each musical moment. Kristen is also “the crystal drummer” and plays the singing bowls as percussive instruments, while sustaining their oscillating tones. She adds one of the heart-singing voices to the Holy Oly-Girls and provides the “beat-box” when the girls offer up chant-rap to the Divine. Her first CD, “Sacred Sound Healing” was released in 2012.

Jessica Rose is a visionary and music moves thru her as an act of loving devotion to the Divine and to the highest potential of our collective evolution. She transmits a purity through her heart-singing with lead and harmony vocals. She has shared vibrational medicine for the past 5 years as a sound healer and brings her love of the Divine to the group as mantra and kirtan. She embodies and expresses essential truth; weaving light into sound with the harmonium, intuitive flute playing, overtone healing sounds & spontaneous spoken word.
