ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
To date ‘Honey’ have played acoustic with just guitar and piano, in full band mode at the Gulgong Folk Festival and the Bob Marley Festival in Kandos and in electronic impro guise at Cementa Arts Festival with backing, drums and lighting effects. They have recorded an EP at Pirate Studios in March which should see the light of day mid year. They have also played the prestigious Kangaroo Valley Music Festival in October 2013 and are set to play the Turning Wave Festival in tandem with a tour to promote their debut ‘Valentines Day’ EP.

Electronic musician, festival promoter, folk artist, multi instrumentalist Richard Lawson’s latest project ‘Honey’ [formerly Fig Jam] is a rollicking eclectic grab bag of musical styles based around his collaboration with , pianist Elizabeth Walton, multi instrumentalist Erin Kelly and the stunning singing of Katie Gilbert and Sharon Lee Twiss. The group also plays in a variety of guises with special friends the much in demand guitarist Glenn Van Reason, saxophonist Michael Elderfield and drummer Aaron Strickland and also play everything from Accapella to jazzy folk pop.
