Album Notes
Honker is a down to earth, funky rock band with Jim Lomonaco (from Yolk) on bass and vocals. This Binghamton, NY trio has Matt Massie on drums and Tim Linkroum on guitar. Honker plays original music influenced by groups such as Primus, Pearl Jam, Radiohead and Frank Zappa. The name Honker, aside from being a wonderful, wonderful word, is a small tribute to Zappa.

Honker got together in mid 2014 and has almost exclusively written, recorded and practiced in private, up at Honker Headquarters in Vestal, NY. Honker played one show in 2015 and has spent all remaining time focusing on producing their debut CD "Believe In Music" and working up a great live show to go with it.

Honker’s album "Believe In Music" was released on January 28th 2016 exclusively on https://honker.rocks - in March 2016 it will be available in hard copy and online from all the usual outlets. The sound quality and songwriting on "Believe In Music" are of the caliber you would expect from three veteran players such as these. The album was professionally mastered (Music House Mastering) but otherwise completely produced by Honker.

The songs on "Believe In Music" are a little edgy, with a funky groove, sometimes humorous and always quite catchy. You won’t forget "Step On The Gas" next time you’re stuck in traffic. And you might remember "Down To Earth" next time you’re confronted with a real jerk! Maybe "Uplifter" will come to mind next time the sun shine warms your face. Every track on this record has heart and has a brand new sound that can only be called Honker.
