Album Notes
Unique, original compositions that are fun, engaging and educationally sound. These children's early learning literacy songs will become favourites to play over and over again at home or in the classroom to help children learn their ABC's.

ABC Songs with Ricardo Reading Mouse album includes four songs where children can sing, dance and learn!!

Research supports the fundamental importance of using music and movement in learning and recalling newly learnt information.

Our four songs are a great way for young children to learn their ABC's, Consonants and Vowels.

1. Ricardo's Alphabet Song - 26 Letters of the English Alphabet
Learning the alphabet is a joy - encourage your toddler, kindergarten, preschool or school age child to sing and dance along to Ricardo's Alphabet Song and they will learn the 26 letters of the English Alphabet in no time at all!! It will be a breeze. Contact us below to ask about receiving our FREE Ricardo ABC full colour learning poster.

2. ConsonANT March Song
Join these gorgeous little ants, called ConsonANTS, as they march along together with the consonants of the English Alphabet. Your toddler, kindergarten, preschool or school age child will enjoy this catchy brass instrument marching band song Remembering these letters will be so much easier as they act out a letter and march along too.

3. Dancing Vowels Song - AEIOU, That's My Name!
What's a dancing vowel? Listen and learn with Ricardo, as these cute little vowels break out in dance!! You will want to sing and dance along too with your toddler, kindergarten, preschool or school age child. Great fun for all the family or for children in the classroom!! Copy the moves of these dancing vowels, when you watch them on youtube and put together your own end of year school concert item!!

4. Short Vowels In My Head

This brilliant song teaches the 5 short vowel sounds of the English Alphabet. In this song, children learn the short vowel sounds associated with the beginning of words like 'a' for apple, 'e' for egg, 'i' for igloo, 'o' for orange and 'u' for umbrella..

This song has a gorgeous animated video clip on youtube which introduces children to the initial short vowel phoneme (sound) associated with each vowel grapheme (individual letter).

Phonics based programs for learning to read are very well supported with evidence based research. So using this song as a resource in your classroom or at home will definitely be supporting children to learn to read and spell using a phonics based approach. I trust you will be very surprised by how simply and quickly children will remember their short vowel sounds as they sing, dance and learn using this wonderful song.

Each song on this album is found on Learning With Ricardo Reading Mouse Youtube Channel as a delightful animated video clip. If you would like a copy of the lyrics please contact me directly melissaot@ricardoreadingmouse.com.au

if you choose to use any of these songs in your school for concerts or graduation performances please video them and send me a copy or a link as I would be thrilled to view children all around the world joyously learning their ABC's with these beautifully created songs.

On our Ricardo Reading Mouse website you will also find other beautifully created children's educational resources:
ie. Apps, Books, Games, animated educational video clips

Our first app, Ricardo's Alphabet Game Board is available now for IOS and android.

In this app, Ricardo Reading Mouse is sure to delight children, as they enjoy learning their ABC’s with him, in three, beautifully illustrated, educationally-based games, which incorporate essential early literacy or pre-reading skills in a safe, supportive and fun way. As children interact with Ricardo, in Ricardo’s Alphabet Game Board App, they will meet the 26 letters of the English Alphabet.

1. recognise letter shapes and sounds;
2. recall letter names and sounds and
3. identify and remember the initial letter-sound associations of the entire 26 letters

Hidden Letters – find the correct alphabet letters as they play hide and seek
Vowel Catch – help vowel characters catch matching kites
I Hear – help Ricardo jump across the river rocks by matching letters and sounds

As a family-owned company launching into this space, Ricardo’s Alphabet Game Board, is the first app in a series of apps, so it is a very exciting time. It was developed, by Melissa Savonoff, who is a mother of 5 and a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, specifically for children under 6, and also for older children who are struggling with their learning.

The importance of children needing a healthy balance of screen time and active play time is also extremely significant to Melissa, so games and rewards have been carefully designed to serve as a gentle reminder to children of how much fun it is to put their device down and engage in safely supervised active play like flying a kite, using a scooter or pogo stick, leaping & jumping, enjoying nature play or playing hide & seek.

Thank you,
warmest regards
