Album Notes
The Human Factory jazz quintet was established 4 years ago by saxophonist Amikam Kimelman.
The set up of the band is considered to be an unusual one, since it is not so common to fined 2 horns and a guitar in a jazz band.
Not only that but, even though each of its member is a leading jazz musician in the Israeli jazz scene, they come from different disciplines, perspectives and styles. This creates a unique sound to the music of The Human Factory which combines Be Bop with Fusion, Hip-Hop and Modern Modal Jazz.
The first album of the band was released in August 2006 under the new Israeli label JAZZ 972 which is artistically directed by Amikam Kimelman.
The Human Factory has already performed at the Essen Jazz Festival (West Germany), the Almaty Jazz Festival (Kazakhstan), the Grahamstown Jazz Festival (South Africa) and in numerous places around Israel.
