Humberto Fortuna, MA, MS, was born in Buenos Aires and came to the United States in 1989.
With the support of his parents, he began his musical education when he was twelve years old, auditioning for the Opera's Children's Choral Group at Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires under the conduction of Valdo Sciamarella. He continued performing at Teatro National Cervantes Youth Professional Choir under the conduction of Nestor Sadoff and went on to become a church organist at Jesus Misericodioso Church, forming his own choral group, De Todos Tiempos, specializing in Barroco, Renaissance and popular, contemporary music from Argentina.
At age 20, Mr. Fortuna earned his first Master of Arts degree at the Santa Ana Music Conservatory, as one of their youngest graduates. His concentration was in Music Education, majoring in piano, with a minor in choral conducting. In Argentina, he also taught music in public and private schools from kindergarten through high school as well as to seniors.
Since arriving in the United States in 1989, Mr. Fortuna has continued his relationship with music, teaching piano, voice, and guitar as well as performing for various organizations.

Mr. Fortuna was awarded his second Master’s Degree in Health Care Management for Nursing Home Administration from Lynn University in 1998. He then furthered his studies and received a Graduate Certificate in Aging Studies in 1999. That same year he became an Activity Consultant, certified by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.
He co-wrote and published his first book on Assisted Living Facilities in 2009, his ultimate goal being to educate and protect the senior population. Humberto is a true serial Entrepreneur, currently owning and managing three companies: Placement Counselors Corporation, 55+ Magazine and Scoop for Seniors / HUMFOR
