Album Notes
In 1993 a wildfire swept down the mountain I lived on. I was in a tux and had just placed my 17th Century Italian cello in the car when I looked up and saw the smoke. I ended up in the swimming pool hiding beneath a rowboat, fearing for my life. My cellos, art and armour were also in the pool....thank the gods because the house burnt and the boat caught fire. I was a professional studio cellist and had recorded hundreds of sessions and film dates...EarthWind&Fire, Stevie Wonder, Neil DIamond, Mainilow, Out of Africa, Officer and a Gentlemen. But after the fire I quit...it did not mean anything anymore to play music for a microphone in a room full musicians who were all as bored as I. I was missing the audience and the emotion that fills me when I play.

So I picked up my cello and began performing and recording music that works for me.

The combination of cello and harp is beautiful. Also, the songs and the way they are performed are so great. These 2
musicians are incredible and their years of experience really show in their playing.

Celtic Cello
I was not a fan of cello till I saw Marston Smith in person. I know this CD is great even though I haven't heard it yet. How? My teenage daughter took it to play in her car and refuses to return it. Must be great!

Pleasing blend of Cello and Harp
Marston (cello) and Stephanie Bennett (harp) have created a very complimentary Celtic album of traditional pieces. The music is soft, melodic, relaxing, and an overall enjoyment for the background. A very nice compliment to any acoustic collection.
