Album Notes
Love Has Left is not an album for people who want silly songs.

Word music is what iAmnot calls their style. It's a format against the constant usage of the verse/chorus routine. The band's frontman is spoken word performer, author and vintage vinyl dealer Nathaniel Watts. He'll yell and scream, he'll ommmm, he'll yodel, but don't ever expect Watts to sing. The rest of the band is Kenny Gordon (guitar, vocals, percussion), Evan Campanella (bass, percussion, backing vocals) Frank Giliberti (percussion) and Alec Miniero (Warr guitar), who has been personally trained by King Crinmson guiar icon Robert Fripp.

Several pieces of iAmnot's premier release, Love Has Left, are from Watts' now out of print book Everyday Writing: A Deconstruction of the Human Hive. Love Has Left was compiled in 2017, which was a year filled with more animosity and general hatred than Watts has ever lived in. He found it ironic how it also marked the 50th anniversary for the Summer of Love. Love was hard to find in 2017. The US was in a state of constant uproar and the media was feeding on it while dishing out daily slanted news designed to fuel the anger even more. Watts came up with "Shake-it," which is always a free form piece involving the band playing egg shakers. It is used to open up live shows and established to trap the evils lurking in the current now and chase them away to create an open path for iAmnot to do their thing free of outside interference. It's also become a ritual that iAmnot fans look forward to.

Love Has Left, was produced by current percussionist Frank Giliberti through his company Mojo Sound NY.
Recorded live in one take that finished in the early AM hours of Halloween 2017, Love Has Left shows the negative progression that the world has made throughout the decades. Tracks like "In the Midst of a 130yr Downfall" illustrate what life what once was, what it currently is and what's soon to come. All tracks are interwoven with quotes from significant figures from yesteryear read by SUNY English professor Ed Luhrs. They are lines mostly used to represent what love is supposed to be. However, Love Has Left reveals Watts’ view of the modern experiences and what living through it is like, “Love, Baby, Love” and “Search for Love. Show Forgiveness” drive sharp points home. As with everything Watts does, this is a sociopolitical album.
