ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes

Adventure into the world of Mythical Wonder with Ian Patton
This is a trip into another dimension. You are taken into a world of fantasy and wonder, then brought back, but not quite to earth, with more traditional melodies.
Each time I listen to Mythical, I am taken to a different world to explore. Pure genius.

HEY! You can do that with a banjo!
Oh yes, yes you can! When I returned to banjo playing a few years ago, I only played Scruggs style. Two things changed my banjo world. I learned how to play clawhammer, and I heard Ian Patton plug in his banjo and make incredible new sounds that I had never imagined could come from a banjo. Even while accoustic, Ian's style is different and refreshing, but plug him into his effects pedal and things get wild and wonderful.
