ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Music is my healer, been healing me all my life" Music has always been more than just something to listen to, it has been like my oxygen, without it I can't survive.
I am drawn to songs through strong lyrics, as much as melody and instrumentation add to the package, it is still strong words that spark emotion in me.
I have been writing songs all my life and during the past year I have recorded my album, Heart & Mind. Trying to find 12 songs out of a lifetime of writing was challenging. I just recorded and went with what worked. I continued writing throughout the process and the end result was a good selection of old, new and not so new.
During the recording process I tried to capture the feel and emotion of the songs, without letting in too much studio interference. I have always been drawn to intimate albums, such as Ryan Adams's Heartbreaker and Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska and I wanted to have that same intimacy in this recording, which I believe I have captured.
I have a love of acoustic guitars and I wanted to let that have a big bearing on the sound and let the songs breath without too much interference.
