Album Notes
After 5 years Idiot Stare releases their 3rd full length release Welcome to Babylon.

Without counting the landmark births; World Deconstruction, the Valentine EP or Ghost, Welcome to Babylon marks the newest from Idiot Stare since 1997.

After a lengthy hiatus Idiot Stare reformed in 2001 with a brand new line-up, an even merge of the original backbone of STG combined with 2 members from the seminal 90's coldwave band Insight 23. In 2003 they released their first foray back into the musical world with the "Ghost" remix single, featuring twelve remixes of their single "Ghost" from such luminaries as SMP, Christ Analogue, Penal Colony and Inertia.

After 2 deaths, 3 births, 5 weddings and 2 band reunions, Idiot Stare emerge with an album more powerful than originally imagined. Welcome to Babylon is ten songs that encompass the bands' past and present, with an offering of the future.

Welcome to Babylon has something for everyone: From the album's title track that steadfastly relates the good, bad and ugly life in Los Angeles, to its downward spiral bookend "Porno," which will remind fans of 1997's The Hate Cage. Add to the mix the soon-to-be-classic dance floor epics "Hold Me Down" and, arguably the best boot stomping song to hit the scene in a decade, "Mission Impropable" and you have a taste of what's to come. The album's strongest tracks "Mainframe God," "Dead2U," Humiliation," crowd favorite "Eye Candy" and popular "Ghost," will leave you wanting more from one of the last remaining original industrial-rock acts hailing from Los Angeles.

This is an album that blurs the line between rock and pop, goth and industrial. With melodies that dare you not to sing along and beats, noise and abrasion that beg for worship, these are songs that will remain with you in one shape, form or another. If you play them loud you are even more vulnerable to their infectious pull.

Idiot Stare returns to remind the world what "original music" means.
