Album Notes
The premise of this album "No label Required," was to create a fun, positive and eclectic assortment of songs that are catchy and inspirational. Indeed songs like "Believe" and 'Life' are about keeping the faith and enjoying life. While "She's Always a Lady" is a tribute to women. Indeed, all three of these songs have a fun and addictive vibe that tend to make the listener want to sing along.
The title of the album has a dual meaning: 1.) a recording artist no longer needs a record label to succeed and reach his/her fans and
2.) It is not necessary to label this music; Ignacio's style is too broad to attach to one label and the music speaks for itself.
Independent recording artist Ignacio wrote most of the music on this album, and all of the lyrics. He also played some of the piano, and bass, sings the lead vocals, and most of the background vocals. In addition, Ignacio also engineered and mixed many of the tracks along with his co-producer G. Vernon Burrell Jr.. When asked why he has his hands in so many aspects of this album, Ignacio laughs as he responds "I was more than happy to delegate different jobs to others, but when you have no, or a very small budget, you find yourself doing a lot of the work." Luckily from hearing the album, one can't tell it was produced on a miniscule budget. Kudos to Ignacio.
