ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
The scripture shown above (Deuteronomy 31:8) is an ideal starting point from which to approach Into the Unknown, Not Alone. The Inner Journeys Trio embarks on musical odysseys in which the artistic and spiritual goals are inextricably linked. Bob, Dwight, and Rob pray before each recording session, then venture forth-not alone-to discern whatever from of beauty might be revealed to them in that moment. This is truly free, collective improvisation, recorded live with no overdubbing.
This music is sometimes challenging, sometime contemplative, alway spontaneous: much like this life on earth. But it is born out of a blessed assurance that this journey is never made alone.
-Russell Schmidt
