ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The world is a changin'. Welcome to a joyous celebration of our religious diversity and an opportunity to laugh and cry out loud at our foibles and our idiosyncrasies, even as we take our faiths seriously.

Here's what people are saying about INTERFAITH: The Musical:
It is beyond fantastic. The music, lyrics and theme lifted my spirits to a level I have not felt for a long time. All the songs were so clever, so educational, so basic, yet they challenge the listener to really think about our attitudes. Ruth, you're a musical genius! -Leslie Tuchman, Therapist

Ruth is a most amazingly gifted lady who is now creating an interfaith musical, the first of its kind. We listened to the attractive and vital songs and were blown away. We bought the CD and have played the music at interfaith talks here in England. We are very excited and much look forward to more of this creative musical.

Never have I believed so strongly in an artistic expression as I do in INTERFAITH: THE MUSICAL. Not only is it truly inspired but it is funny, true, and gives rise to deepening thought and understanding. As soon as I heard the variety of songs, of rhythms, which are truly catch, and the words, which draw us together in the Human Predicament, I knew I wanted to support this effort which could work to build understanding and bring the world together into share peace. I see this traveling throughout the world on major stages everywhere with rave reviews. Blessings, Ruth, on your creative brilliance. Thank you for bringing this to the world. Jan Chase, Unity Minister and Interfaith Enthusiast.

Funny and true songs about a new age of interfaith and hybrid identities, which could bring more peace to this troubled earth. Be part of the solution and support this funny, moving and thought provoking new musical. My kids fell in love with the songs, know most of the lyrics by heart and go around the house singing them
- Yuval Ron, Oscar-award winning composer, musician

There is so much human tenderness, humor, wisdom, truth, hope, morality, longing, all presented in an empathetic manner, and all with that traditional Broadway beat! So clever and hilarious! So many different ideas, beats, and music. Real genius, Ruth --Jan Chaffe, Interfaith activist

I just heard the music and YES I bought the CD of Interfaith, the Musical. The music and lyrics are timely, timeless, and fun! All qualities a good musical show have. Equally important, without being didactic or preachy in any way, the songs touch a common human cord. Like Fiddler on the Roof, which has a universal message and worldwide appeal, Interfaith, the Musical, has the potential to transcend man-made boundaries and touch the universal. BRAVO!"
-Lael Belove, Founder YES Innerprizes/ YES Salon

The songs are dramatic, comical and poignant--in sum, deeply moving. We laughed and cried hearing songs with titles like: What If My Children Go Astray, Spiritual but not Religious, Blasphemy, Why Can't Religion and Science Be Friends, It's Not A Game and There Ain't No Monopoly on Spirit. -Paul Chaffee:The Interfaith Observer, Editor

When Ruth first told me that she was writing a musical I thought to myself, 'yea...right!' Then she sent me one of her songs, "What if my Children Go Astray" and the lyrics and music brought tears to my eyes. Ruth is one of the most inspired and inspirational people I have ever met. Her talent, her wit, her writing, and her commitment to interfaith dialogue is boundless. This has all flowered miraculously into "Interfaith: The Musical", truly a journey that explores our foibles and our dreams in a unique way that makes your heart soar. If you can support "Interfaith: The Musical" — do it. The world needs hope. The message of love and tolerance that this musical brings is timeless but we need it now more than ever before.
Haya Leah Molnar, Author

Ruth Broyde Sharone, creator of the music and lyrics to INTERFAITH: The Musical, is a passionate interfaith activist, an award-winning filmmaker and author and a public speaker who believes the Arts are the most potent vehicle for teaching and sparking peace. Each song came to her as a messenger bearing a gift and, before long, she was inspired to write an entire musical about interfaith carrying the tag line: "Broadway bound on the wings of peace," aiming for the largest audience possible.
