Album Notes
The sixth release from the Invisible System camp following the recent bonus Invisible System album alongside World Music Network’s Rough Guide to Ethiopia is back on the homeland of Harper Diabate Records.

The album is distinctively Invisible System offering 13 tracks of Ethiopian, Jamaican, UK fusions.

Some more traditional based tracks from Dan Harper and Grasella Luigi, another from Mimi’s Azmari band. Reggae, hiphop, funk and metal fusions with Sydney Salmon (a Jamaican relocated to the Shashamene rasta homeland, Ethiopia). Collaborations with Zion Train and Baka Beyond as well as the members of Dub Colossus before they were known as DC (a band Harper seeded inviting Nick Page to his home and studio in Addis). And a more post-punk / jungle track with Invisible System’s Jamaican/UK singer Dennis Wint as well as numerous talented Ethiopian musicians such as Leyikun who have feautured on previous releases.

From other areas of Africa Juldeh Camara (Gambia/UK) again joins us (known for his work with Robert Plant, Justin Adams and Realworld (Shapeshifters, Juju etc). Papa joins us from Mali, an old recording made with Dan Harper in 2001 when Dan livedin the region photographed above isolated for 4 years with few musicians around and when portable technology did not allow him to record his visions due to its limitations and price. The skeleton of the track was kept and added to in Worm Hole Studios.
