ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Inspired by classic film noir era, Irene begins her E.P. with the sound of a film reel playing in the background. The first two songs, "I Love You Madly and "Crazy Love", convey the feelings of an old time love, a love that could last a lifetime. By the time she begins the interlude things start changing and Irene sends you down a rabbit hole, one in which you have no idea how to escape from. "I Am Woman" being a story every woman can tell, offers hope in the midst of a fateful relationship, but not far after "Tricky Game" reveals that the heart is far from letting go. "My Sweetest Sin" is a surrender and a yearning of hope that love still has a chance.
Inspired by artists such as Nina Simone, Fionna Apple, and Sia Furler, Irene's vocals and songwriting takes you to a classic yet modern place. With love as her greatest theme, she has something to say at every turn.
NPR's Jasmine Garsd was quoted as saying, "You can't fake the soul... and Irene is so believable in her emotion."
