Album Notes
The name of this CD, Echoes of My Homelands, was selected because, musically speaking, I have more than one homeland. I was born in Poland, grew up in the Middle East, and much later moved to the United States.

Every step on this journey left an indelible musical mark on me. Even as I was growing up in Israel, absorbing the exotic sights, sounds and smells of the Middle East, I was continually surrounded by Polish music, both folk and classical at home. American music is the latest influence on me, subtly altering my musical idiom at times.

The two sets of variations were inspired by Polish folk songs. The Oriental Rondo is an imaginary journey of a belly dancer dancing her way through the Middle East. The Jerusalem Suite set out to capture in music the essence of a city considered holy by three religions. The Melting Pot is a medley of all three musical traditions that have inspired me.
