Album Notes

I gave up on arguing with modern conservatives while they occupy this trump-inspired epistemological upside-down world. So instead of arguing, I decided to hold a mirror to them by putting their perspectives to music.

Thoughts and Prayers: the oft-repeated and now maligned phrase "thoughts and prayers" is emblematic of republican/conservative positions on refugees, school shootings/gun violence, and other important issues affecting the most vulnerable. This could have been a hundred verses long.

Republican Jesus: the protagonist of this song is a MAGA hat-wearing true believe who follows the 10 commandments of Sean Hannity. What could go wrong?

We're Gonna Say Merry Christmas Again: a comedy song cloaked in a gospel quintet that showcases the senile conspiracy-fueled ranting of an all-too-real character--one who's spent decades absorbing conservative "nooz" with its slippery-slope fear-mongering arguments, knee-jerk Obama and Soros blaming; and baseless victimhood fantasies. A new Christmas classic?

Please note that I'm not ridiculing anyone's religion per se--I am criticizing the religious hypocrisy that characterizes American conservative policies and rhetoric.
