ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Feeling very lucky to be a part of the tour, Jack just returned from Arlo Guthrie and Friends "City of New Orleans" Tour. Arlo and family set up these dates to raise money for Katrina victims. With shows beginning in Chicago, and ending with a sold out show in New Orleans, Jack opended for the likes of Arlo Guthrie w/Gordon Titcomb and band, Ramblin Jack Elliot, Willie Nelson, The Burns Sisters,Ramsey Midwood,Abe Guthrie, Annie and Cathy Guthrie,Exavier and a set with Annie Guthrie and Amy Nelson. At the first couple of shows, Cyrille Neville and his wife also performed some New Orleans funk in the house. It was like "walkin in a dream" for Jack the entire time and Amtrak's Jerome made sure they all made it back home safely on the Train that was Bound for Glory.......

Born and raised in New Orleans.Started a coffeehouse in the eighties in New Mexico. Many songwriters came through for songwriter's night but Jack was too busy raising a daughter and roasting coffee.

Twenty years go by and finally this debut CD is released because an old friend believed in an old friend and stuck it out for a couple of years of love and labor.Michael Paz, a local producer and musician himself, was the faithful source and highschool friend that made this music possible.

Musicians in New Orleans tend to help out others easily in this little town. Included on this CD were the likes of David Torkanowsky, Johnny Vidocavich, Beth Patterson,Dave Easely,Jay Dronge,Leslie Smith, and Kevin Aucoin. They all added their gifts to Jack's solo debut CD and he is grateful to them all......

The best album no one's ever heard of
I had the pleasure of hearing Jack live at a little hole-in-the-wall coffee shop in New Orleans. I had never heard of him before, but I was an immediate fan. I bought three copies of this CD from him that night because I knew I would want to share it with friends. Jack's voice is rich, warm, and expressive. The variety of musical styles presented on this CD is refreshing and makes for an album you can listen to again and again. It just keeps getting better and better. It really is a shame that more people have not heard of this guy. I, for one, can't wait for number two from Jack.

Really good!
Your relaxed vocals tummble and trickle though the lyric in perfect stride with the music. You turn song into infeccious emotion. You are an excellent singer songwriter. This is really good stuff. Great job Jack!

Wonderful New Favorite Artist
I was fortunate enough to see Jack live in Effingham, Illinois on his trip through with Arlo Guthrie and friends riding the City of New Orleans. His name was completely unfamiliar to me, but when he began playing Hello My Old Friend, I became an instant fan. What wonderful music! This cd is so relaxing and wonderful to listen to, it will always be at the top of my favorite albums list. Thanks Jack!

Simultaneously touching, charismatic, driving and electrifying.
With the upbeat wit, clear and pointed voice and sincere songwriting of David Wilcox, the warmth and versatility of Eric Clapton, the energy, drive, accessibility and conviction of Marc Cohn, and the weaving melodic genius of James Taylor, this folk artist not only knows how to push a multitude of buttons, but how do push them all at once. Simultaneously touching, charismatic, driving and electrifying, his songs both surround and yet penetrate under the skin for a total mind-body-soul experience.

Excellent Music and Lyrics
This CD is full of excellent music and lyrics that take you back to places where your heart has been or should visit. I made the mistake of buying only one CD the first time; I had to return and buy more for my friends.
