Album Notes
Jack’s Basket Room is an Americana band from Helsinki, Finland. Some say that Jack’s Basket Rooms sound takes you to a journey, which begins from a dusty bar in Tennessee and continues through the Caribbean nights straight into the Mexican cemetery, “Caribbean-Blues”. Be that as it may Jack’s Basket Rooms influences lean heavily into American roots music and you can find tones of Alt-Country, Blues, Folk, Rock and Pop from their music. The Band was formed in 2015 and has now 6-8 members. Jack’s Basket Rooms near future plans include recording a new full length album. Stay tuned.

Jack's Basket Rooms new adventures EP “Vanilla Club” was recorded mostly live on tape by using only vintage gear. We wanted to cleanse the palate and do something different before we start to record our second full length album. The idea behind the EP was to mix Cuban and American sounds, “What if Elvis or Wilson Pickett had been born in Cuba as a woman”.

Jack’s Basket Rooms debut album "Welcome To" has received lots of positive comments and gotten airplay in Europe. The first album contains a wide range of different instruments (strings, horns, conga, banjo bass, piano, dobro, mandolin, harmonica...) and the arrangements vary from big to small. The recording process was fun and spontaneous and if you listen the end of New Mama in Town carefully, you can really hear it. “Vanilla club” was made in a totally different way but the process was equally fun and spontaneous.

What´s been said:

“Great band” "Although they are not officially the headliner of the RollFest, in my opinion they are"

“Would You Change It is the best song made in 2017"

“Sometimes you find these rare gems...”

“I have downloaded your files. I have NEVER listened to a client’s work in its entirety prior to working on it simply because I’m too busy. But this time around, I listened to the first song and thought: “Wow, this is great”, then the next one, then the third one and so on and before I knew it I was listening to the full album front to back at once. Great album. Loving the singer and her amazing voice. Will make sure to give you some great sounding masters.”
