Jack Tempchin is known within the music industry as a 'songwriter's songwriter'. Tempchin wrote two songs on the best-selling album of the 20th century (U.S.) : "Peaceful Easy Feeling" and "Already Gone" are both on THE EAGLES: THEIR GREATEST HITS 1971-1975.

He also wrote the Billboard Top 10 track "Slow Dancin" for Johnny Rivers. He wrote a half dozen huge radio hits with Glenn Frey like Smugglers Blues, The One You Love, and You Belong To The City**. **Sampled by JAY-Z on The City Is Mine.

His songs have been performed by George Jones, Emmy Lou Harris, Glen Campbell, Chris Hillman, Jackson Browne, Dwight Yoakam, Patty Loveless, NRPS, The Paladins,Tanya Tucker and Trisha Yearwood. His co-writers include Tom Waits, J.D. Souther, Jim Lauderdale, Beth Nielsen Chapman, John Brannen, Mickey Joe Harte and others.
