BREAK THROUGH

Review by Daryl Kirkup

In 2007, JACQUI RYAN came to the notice of country music fans across Australia with her debut EP A Moment In Time. Three years on and this Brisbane-based artist is set to break through as a new force in Australian country music with her brilliant debut album, aptly titled Break Through. Produced by MATT FELL, this album sees Jacqui taking her vocals and songwriting to an entirely new level. Every track is a winner with Beginning, the beautiful Cry (co-written with LYN BOWTELL), the current single I Can’t Make You Stay and Lifted Up as highlights. The past year has also seen Jacqui shortlisted for the major Hollywood blockbuster Twilight New Moon soundtrack and was also approached to submit more songs for the follow-up movie Eclipse. This is simply acknowledgement of her superb talent and one listen to this brilliant new album will show you why.
