Spastic Lab Rat

Mass Ass-kick
We don't yet live in a world where an all-female hard rock/metal band is nothing unusual, but when you listen to Jaded you might just forget the distinction (if you don't pay attention to the photos in the liners--these women are smokin'-hot). The overall sound is similar to Meldrum, coincidentally another all-female metal outfit, and they're capable of some seriously pounding music. But the gem on the EP is the slower, more emotional "Missing You from Boston," in my opinion. Still plenty of oomph, but a real feeling of pain as well. I hope these four get to put out something more full-length and/or better yet go on tour near where I live.
