ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Finally done! It has been a long time coming, and it was well worth every hour spent working on this album, but, I admit, I’m glad to finally be able to say Here & Now is finished... Done... Over & Out... Finito!! The vision for this album was born out of my love for the music of the nineties, with its full harmonies and well produced tracks. I was always inspired by the amazing vocalists of that era, such as Aaliyah, Brandy & Mariah Carey, to name but a few, and I hope that we were able to capture a little bit of that 90’s flavor in some of the tracks on this album.

In these songs I sing about experiences many of us have had. Some are based on things that happened to me, some come from friends and family, but all are meant to inspire and encourage others who may be going through similar situations.

There are a few people without whom this project would never have been much more than a silly idea moping around the dark recesses of my mind. First and foremost my producer, my partner in music as well as in life, Casual-T, who has composed, engineered, recorded, and mixed, all the music you hear on this album; besides playing drums & percussion on a few tracks, doing the graphic design for the CD and even the occasional vocal cameo (A man of many talents... Let me tell you!). Thank you for all your hard work, my Love. I couldn’t have done it without you. A big thank you goes out to the wonderfully talented Amina Buddafly, and the “rough around the edges” but ever so loveable Toni Menage, for sharing their vocal talents on two of these tracks, as well as Emily Martinez for bringing that sexy Spanish vibe to You Make Me Feel. And, of course, Byron Jackson, for his funky bassness on Hooked. The beautiful cover photo was taken by the talented Erica Miriam Fabri.

There are also a few very special people who may not have that much to do with this album, but have everything to do with some of the inspirations for these songs. I want to thank my sister, Amanda, for always being there for me, no matter what; my Mom & Dad for their continued support; Josie, for her unwavering love and encouragement; Krystal for popping into my life and making it seem like we’ve been friends since Kindergarten. And last but in no way least, I am eternally grateful to my kids Siah, Zion, Zoe & Anakin, for giving me a reason to continue. Love you guys with all my heart!

And an extra special thank you goes out to you, the audience. Thanks for listening. Thanks for tapping your toes. And thanks for supporting independent artists…
