ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The follow-up to his debut album "Seven Years Now," Houlahan's "misfit hymns" is the next step on his sonic adventure. In contrast to the first release, the songs on the newer album are more oriented towards characters and stories. The sound is still primarily rooted in a dark acoustic sound, but flashes of sonic eccentricity and electric bravado raise their head here and there. Overall, Houlahan is interested in exploring folk roots and then planting them in new sonic ground.
