Album Notes
James Lee Stanley produced Peter Tork's solo CD, STranger Things Have Happened.

Peter wanted to do an acoustic tour to support the release of the CD.

He asked James to go with him.

They worked up a couple of tunes to do together, which thru the course of the tour became ten songs.

The fans clamored for a CD of the two of them doing those songs and presto! Two Man Band was born.

It's two old friends (since the 60's) just playing and singing live in the studio, no overdubs, no trickery, just music.

I think you might like it.

Wonderful sounds from two great guys
Having been a fan of Peter Tork for many years, and being extremely pleased with his solo CD put out by Beachwood, I thought I’d purchase this Two Man Band CD with Peter and a guy I never heard of, James Lee Stanley. I’m very happy I chose to do so.
This is a great sounding CD. James and Peter harmonize so well together, no matter who sings lead, and I like how they take turns doing this. It’s a very fun sounding, happy recording. The incident that made me appreciate their sound even more is when, during one of my listens, my teenagers asked who was singing that cool sounding version of Pleasant Valley Sunday. We all agreed it was better than the original and when can you agree with your teenagers about music?
I'm glad James and Peter did a follow up, Once Again, which I recommend just as highly.

Accoustic Fun 101
I found this CD by being a Monkee/Tork fan....James Who? But from the moment the phrase, "Everybody's Talkin'..." came out of Mr Stanley's mouth, I was hooked. This was the companion CD to the James/Peter tours of the mid-90's. Equal billing, equal time and equal fun.... This is a pure accoustic good time...and what's wrong with that?
