ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Dr. James Sacamano has practiced meditation and emergency medicine and psychiatry for nearly fifty years. He has worked with healing in his personal life and the lives of thousands of patients. He has studied and taught mindfulness and mind-body medicine to numerous patients and health professionals, and has offered courses on meditation at the annual general meetings of the Canadian and American Psychiatric Associations. His primary meditation teacher was The Ven. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, and he has studied and practiced Medicine Buddha under the direction of The Ven. Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche. Here he explains Medicine Buddha as the ultimate core of all healing methods including mindfulness and other meditation techniques. Medicine Buddha promotes healing and supports living all of life in a wholesome way. He has presented these teachings throughout the United States and Canada, and has authored Getting Back to Wholeness—The Treasure of Inner Health and the Power of a Meaningful Life, a companion to Medicine Buddha practice.
