Georgetown Boor

by Jamie Gage

Composed during the U.S. Supreme Court nomination hearings in Fall 2018, this alt-rock single evokes Roger Waters & today's #MeToo movement as it blends strong socio-political lyrics with a brooding organ, great basslines and an urgent marching drumbeat.

Album Notes
"Jamie’s lyrics are expertly crafted - sometimes with literary references - while the songs themselves seem to empathize with regular folks, connecting to such crucial commentary issues as the Occupy movement & Global Warming.”
- Bob Sherman, host of "Woody's Children", WFUV (NYC), May 2018

Jamie Gage has been writing poems, stories, and songs for over twenty-five years, and "Georgetown Boor" follows closely on the heels of the release of his first CD, "Earth Turns" in late 2017. The single features top-notch musicians from Vermont and was produced by award-winning musician Bow Thayer and mixed by Matt Lillie at Soundtown Studios in Stockbridge, Vermont.

The father of three and a poet, Jamie has also served in his day jobs in a variety of careers in management, IT, tourism and marketing, and copywriting. His hope is to connect his songs with listeners interested in roots acoustic music and confronting today’s issues with tenacity and resolve.
