Album Notes
Hello and thanks for visiting. Goethe said: ”Things of quality have no fear of time.” Here is an offering that has taken my entire lifetime to complete. This journey has been far from a straight line, and one might ask what heroic journey has not taken this direction? It is an organic growth from my love of music. The power of lyric and song has given me something to hold onto. In many instances it saved my life and grew my soul. The power of song. The power of singing. Singing for power. Keeping alive the flame of the good that we are and the good we can become. Enjoy.

“The planet is asleep and it’s the fault of musician who are untrue to themselves.” —Sun Ra

This Effort is Dedicated to:
My father, Larry DeCuir, who turned the hi-fi up to 11 after he sent me to bed,
forgetting the mono speaker was on the other side of my bedroom wall.
My mother, Leota DeCuir, who loved to sing along to the Mills Brothers
and is currently employed tending the roses in heaven.

My hat is off to all of you!

How much fun was this?
Expect the unexpected! As a songwriter, I casually met Jane at the ASCAP I Create Music Expo and she was kind enough to share her CD. I had no idea what to expect. What a rollicking good time! And such great wordplay! The CD helped me work through the Los Angeles commuter traffic! I am happy to add it to my music collection and maybe sometime I'll be lucky enough to see Jane live. I would imagine that it's a rockin' event, with depth!

Better than Taylor Swift!~~~
I am a huge fan of Taylor Swift. I have all of her CDs. But Jane's album is better than all of TS's CDs combined!

Jane de Cuir ROCKS!
...rocks, sings the blues...this CD is AWESOME!! "Thank You for Leavin'" has become my new theme song!
