ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The music that accompanies my meditations is soothing and helps you deepen your relaxation and imagery experience.

Imagery is purposeful day dreaming, using your imagination at its best. Some refer to imagery as “visualization”, however not everyone is visual. In imagery we use all the senses to some degree. When you imagine being at the beach, you are aware of the scenery around you, hear the sounds of nature, smell the fresh air, feel the warm sun on your skin, etc. Imagery is an easy and natural way we think and process information.

To the mind, everything is real, and the body responds to what the mind is thinking. Therefore, when you think about something upsetting, you feel upset. The reverse is also true. When you focus on a safe and peaceful place, you feel safe and peaceful.

Research-based benefits of guided imagery include:
• Increases calm and ability to relax more deeply
• Lowers heart rate, blood pressure, blood sugar, improves respiration
• Reduces pain, slows bleeding, stops nausea, and vomiting
• Reduces surgical complications and treatment side-effects
• Speeds wound healing and recovery from illness, shortens hospital stays
• Re-balances the immune system
• Reduces insomnia, deepens sleep, improves mood
• Reduces anxiety and depression
• Reduces cravings
• Improves performance and memory recall
• Increases creativity and problem-solving
• Increases self-mastery and inner confidence
