Album Notes
Songs about life, growing up and growing into yourself . Style varies from musical to 'pop' to folk with a jazz flavor. Each song is an expression of desire, fulfilled or not . Some are serious, some are fun, all are from the heart of the one singing her song. I hope that anyone listening will be inspired to sing their own song, whatever form that may take because creating and expression of spirit is a way of sharing and healing our times. Not to get too grandiose, it is fulfilling a dream and we can each do that in our own way.
In Italy, I began a whole new phase of discovery, My friend and arranger Carlo Urizio who takes my songs and makes them sound better than even what I imagined both through his arranging and recording engineering. Plus he's a one man band! I'm also grateful to Riccardo Morpurgo for playing and sharing in composing the music for a couple of the songs. Many other friends, in particular Gabrielle Centis , Susan Beth Lehman, Joie Magidow , Becky Blakey and Katia Zamarian have been my listening ears . Their honest caring feedback has helped me to find my way. Pat Luboff, mentor extraordinare as well with her guidance and suggestions. And all the others, friends, students, singers and artists who have helped me to see that the more we share, the more there is to share. Each of you is part of this .
