Album Notes
My songs come from my journey. I’ve been doing music most of my life, as an entertainer, as an educator and have always loved the old cowboy songs. But, I didn’t get immersed in western music until I started bartering for horseback riding, “singing to ride” out at Bandit Outfitters, in Vail, AZ.

The first song on our CD, “I Sing To Ride” was written after a house concert , out at Aravaipa Ranch. I was sitting on the porch thinking “ ..and this all started with my slogan, “I Sing To Ride” and it’s led to adventures like this… swapping songs around a campfire, riding out to see wild mustangs in the high desert country”

"I Sing to Ride"- our journey with horses and music and the great people my husband and I are meeting along the way

"Hoof Prints On My Heart" ..a beautiful, haunting song… nice guitar
work ” ~ Jim Jones
This song was inspired after my dad passed away in Jan. 2012. It’s about the call to ride and the healing that that comes when I’m out in God’s creation.

"Come Ride With Me"- a great Dave Stamey song---let’s ride away!

"Dance With The Horses" - a song I was inspired to write while preparing to sing at an equine therapy event. My interest and background in music education and music therapy is dovetailing with counselors who use equine therapy with their clients. It’s beautiful to see this unfold. Using horses and music to help people heal. The song is about freedom to be all you’re made to be--- in the saddle or on the ground.

"Just a Horse" "This song captures the adrenaline rush you get when you ride & that’s hard to do” ~ Les Buffham
“Really nice song! ~Jim Jones
This song is my musical answer to the question: “What’s the big deal?---it’s just a horse!”

"Voices", " From The Heart"," Running The Race of Your Life" and "The Ballad Of Woodrow" : My love for horses has led to me wanting to help rescue horses. These are some of the songs that have come out of that part of our journey

"Tattoos Don’t Lie" a song loosely based on some wranglers I’ve worked with---bless their hearts!

" I Rest Between Your Shoulders “ ..as I ride, safe inside, what a ride!”…as I rest between His shoulders, when I’m literally in the saddle or in the saddle of life

"Cowboy Blessing" What a great way to end our CD &/or a show…. with a blessing for our friends
