Album Notes
Janice Kephart is a spoken word artist whose poetic songs have gathered attention from all over the world from musicians, critics and listeners of all musical genres. Her poetry and style have been compared to Jim Morrison. Her artistry to Kate Bush and her music as cutting-edge as Kraftwerk.

In May 2016, Janice released "Kamasutra", her first full-length album. Kephart provides all the words and spoken vocals for the album. Partnering with her is Green Man, world trip hop artists led by two time Grammy nominee for sound engineering, Ken Eros. Eros and April Theriault of Green Man produced and provided musical direction for the album, and wrote and performed five original tracks. Ricky Kej, 2015 Grammy winner for Best New Age album, has six of his tracks featured on the album, including the title track.

Incredible artistry
This is true art. Never have I heard spoken word so close to song, with Green Man's backing vocals on four tracks. These Grammy winners and nominees clearly saw what I heard in Janice Kephart. She is a poet goddess. Her vocals are ethereal. She hits every emotion around love with sincerity, irony, beauty, and embracing of love for love. That is clear. But her vocals matched with Grammy winner Ricky Kej are to die for - the title track Kamasutra and Stars Stacked Tall are real standouts. Hibiscus Oil and Honeybee are lovely ambient seduction. And then there is Green Man. WOW! The world music, sitar as electric guitar, the backing vocals in Instantaneous, Haste, Mercenary - incredible originality that is a joyous ear romp! And then there is thing that sounds like Prince in Transgression that is gritty and leaves some of the elegance of the rest of the album behind. Janice is raw but beautiful with these artists. Love LOVE!
