Album Notes
Janice Kephart is a spoken word artist whose poetic songs have gathered attention from all over the world from musicians, critics and listeners of all musical genres. Her poetry and style have been compared to Jim Morrison. Her artistry to Kate Bush and her music as cutting-edge as Kraftwerk.

In May 2016, Janice released "Kamasutra", her first full-length album. Kephart provides all the words and spoken vocals for the album. Partnering with her is Green Man, world trip hop artists led by two time Grammy nominee for sound engineering, Ken Eros. Eros and April Theriault of Green Man produced and provided musical direction for the album, and wrote and performed five original tracks. Ricky Kej, 2015 Grammy winner for Best New Age album, has six of his tracks featured on the album, including the title track.

Janice was admitted as a member of the Recording Academy in March 2014. Her August 2014 release, "Where Paris Meets the Rain" was accepted for the 57th Grammy ballot for "Best Spoken Word Album." It was this EP that garnered the attention of Grammy nominees and winners.

Kephart has nearly 50 published tracks collaborated with musicians from all over the world including: America, Australia, Canada, England, France, India, Scotland, Sweden, and Switzerland in genres that include celtic and Indian genres, acoustic guitar, club dance, electronica, pop, progressive house, and trip hop. Her songs have headlined independent record labels, digital dance and independent music radio stations, and her poetry book "Love in Three Parts: Engage, Endear, End" was nominated for the prestigious Pushcart Poetry Award. She has a separate collaboration called BareAll Productions as well.

Kephart's single, "Cherry Whispers," features Jake Hook, a platinum songwriter and producer in the UK. Her single "Rain Dance" was played as the no. 1 dance track for six weeks on a digital radio station owned by the former world dance director for Sirius radio. She has been produced by Adam Lambert.

Janice is frequently is chosen for play on independent digital radio in the US and abroad, and is the no. 3 track on a WeRWe Vol. One compilation of various independent artists. Incredible artistry
This is true art. Never have I heard spoken word so close to song, with Green Man's backing vocals on four tracks. These Grammy winners and nominees clearly saw what I heard in Janice Kephart. She is a poet goddess. Her vocals are ethereal. She hits every emotion around love with sincerity, irony, beauty, and embracing of love for love. That is clear. But her vocals matched with Grammy winner Ricky Kej are to die for - the title track Kamasutra and Stars Stacked Tall are real standouts. Hibiscus Oil and Honeybee are lovely ambient seduction. And then there is Green Man. WOW! The world music, sitar as electric guitar, the backing vocals in Instantaneous, Haste, Mercenary - incredible originality that is a joyous ear romp! And then there is thing that sounds like Prince in Transgression that is gritty and leaves some of the elegance of the rest of the album behind. Janice is raw but beautiful with these artists. Love LOVE!
