ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The idea for this duo album came from a quartet album I was recording at the time. Jarrett Gilgore and Deric Dickens, Words Are Not Enough album "Streams". This album was an Homage album for Jimmy Lyons the great alto saxophone player.

from the press release******
Dickens added: “We all know the Cecil Taylor with Jimmy Lyons recordings, but I had researched many of the Andrew Cyrille and Jimmy Lyons duo albums for my 2011 duo album Speed Date.” said Dickens. “That gave me a very different take on Lyons. It’s also why I thought it was important to add some duo playing to the album. In fact the duo recording was so much fun and successful that we are releasing a full album of the remaining duos titled “Pallaksch.”
