ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes

'Busquer' was a mid 17th century french word meaning 'seek', often used in nautical terms. The term later meant, in the mid 19th century, ‘to go around selling,’ which eventually became, ‘to go around performing’. It is thought that 'busquer' eventually became 'busk', which means to play music or otherwise perform for voluntary donations in the street or public places.
