Album Notes
Jay and Abby Akins, Atlanta-based song writers & worship leaders, present their long-awaited debut album "TRUST" - eight songs that share their journey of faith in God through passionate and powerful worship. Born out of adversity and their love for God, Jay and Abby have written these songs of truth as a reminder to themselves and the church that God is worthy to be trusted and worshiped.
Starting with a strong declaration of truth, the song "Hope Is" testifies that even amidst the ashes of despair, hope may be found in Christ alone. "I Stand In Awe" takes a breath, pausing to marvel at the majesty and power of the love of God. "Hope in You" is a prayerful worship ballad that will have church congregations singing along. The folksy title track, "Trust," declares that in all circumstances, trust in the Lord is the only solid ground to stand on. "Invited" reminds listeners that the profound grace and love of Jesus is waiting to invite them back home. "Returning" takes a desperate journey through the story of the Prodigal Son, turning from selfish pride and running back to the Father's arms. Singing of the grace of God, "Ransom Song" proclaims the truth of the Gospel with a fresh pop sound. The album finishes with "Point Of Surrender", a tender hymn-like confession set to acoustic guitar and mandolin.
Masterfully produced and prayerfully written, "TRUST" will grab listeners' ears and hearts with a profoundly inspirational sound. Jay and Abby Akins have crafted a refreshing piece of art that will encourage, uplift and lead the church to worship Jesus.
